WAB Course

Since January 1, 2020, new regulations apply to drivers with a temporary driver's license. The mandatory further training (WAB) must be completed within the first year after receiving the license. Our WAB course offers hands-on guidance on the key basics of safe and proactive driving on public roads.

During the course, participants learn to recognize risks early on and assess them correctly. Practical exercises on driving dynamics, braking behavior, and hazardous situations complement the theoretical content and help participants develop a better sense of the limits of both the vehicle and the driver.

Provisional driver’s licenses issued after January 1, 2020:

You must complete a continuing education day. As of January 1, 2021, the continuing education day will be referred to only as the WAB course. The continuing education must be completed within 12 months of the provisional driver’s license being issued.

If the WAB course is not completed within the 12-month period, you may be subject to a fine if stopped for a traffic stop.
